Ingredients for cake:
180g caster sugar
4 eggs, separated
200g butter (room temperature)
280g self-raising flour
250g light sour cream
120g poppy seeds
grated orange or lemon rind
Syrup:
150mls fresh orange juice
finely grated orange rind
100g caster sugar |

Method:
- Beat the butter and sugar until creamy, light and fluffy
- Add the egg yolks and beat until combined then add the sour cream and mix well
- Add the flour, poppy seeds, orange rind and mix well
- Pour mixture into the prepared mould
- Bake in preheated oven about 40 min at 175'C.
